DAY 1

Kilimanjaro Day Hike – Marangu Route

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha by your professional driver-guide for a scenic drive to Marangu Gate, located on the eastern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, complete the park registration procedures and meet your experienced mountain guide for a short briefing before beginning your adventure. The hike takes you through the lush tropical rainforest along the Marangu Route, where you will discover beautiful vegetation, fascinating birdlife, and possibly encounter colobus and blue monkeys along the trail.

After several hours of hiking, you will reach Mandara Hut at approximately 2,700 metres, where you can relax and enjoy your packed lunch surrounded by the peaceful mountain environment. If time, weather, and energy levels permit, you can take a short walk to Maundi Crater to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes and, on clear days, the distant Kenyan plains. Later, begin your descent along the same rainforest trail back to Marangu Gate. Upon completing the hike and park exit formalities, your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, marking the end of your memorable Mount Kilimanjaro day trip.
